Ashton Justice

Ashton is the owner of and lead practitioner at Mañana Wellness/EquiFlow & Glow. She began practicing yoga at the YMCA in Detroit in 2011 as a means of coping with her demanding career in Corporate America, old injuries from training horses, and the domestic violence she had experienced. Raised on a Quarter Horse farm, Ashton is a lifelong horsewoman. When college and business drew her away from the daily lifestyle for a time, yoga was the closest feeling she could find to being on horseback. Yoga led her to explore other modalities of mindful practice and energetic body work. She began teaching in 2019 and is qualified and certified in reiki, energy medicine, meditation, and Trauma-Informed Kundalini, Vinyasa, Nidra and Equine Yoga.

She made her way back to the horse world after a long and successful career in academia and biomedical technology. While Ashton is an Equissage International trained and Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist, her experience speaks louder than the letters behind her name. She began training horses at the age of 13, is a former 4H Queen, and boasts 25+ years of experience, certifications, and blue ribbons when it comes to loving, riding, and understanding this beautiful thing we humans call the horse. She has truly done it all, including but not limited to: training Top Five Youth Pleasure horses for AQHA Congress, large spread ranching in the New Mexico Wilderness, and loving abused Amish cart ponies until they felt safe again.

Ashton is a Michigan native and an alum of the University of Michigan. She holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in business and executive leadership. With extreme passion for making yoga, nature-based adventure, and the healing power of horses accessible to as many people as possible, she birthed Mañana Wellness in 2023 and EquiGlow & Flow in 2026.

Ashton believes in loving fiercely, laughing often, and telling the truth. An avid reader, horsewoman, and lover of the outdoors, when not teaching yoga or massaging horses - you can usually find her on a horse, in the wilderness, or with her nose in a book.

Ashton is also a dedicated mother. She loves being a mom and says she gets up every day and persists to make the world a more peaceful, loving, and beautiful place for all of the daughters living in it, especially her own.

A message from Ashton's young daughter, who wanted a voice on this website. And Ashton let her have it. She was named after one of the greatest horsewomen in history....

"My mom worked hard to get her business up for years. She never gave up. Now that it is up and running it may be a small business that people overlook but it's not just that. She never gave up on it and still somehow she still has a warm dinner on the table and a best friend for me at night. Take a class, you might enjoy it."
